What is a dental implant?
A dental implant is a small titanium screw placed into the jawbone to replicate the root of a missing tooth. Once it has fused with the bone through a process called osseointegration, it supports a custom-made ceramic crown — giving you a fixed, natural-looking and fully functional replacement.
Unlike a bridge or removable denture, a single tooth implant is completely self-supporting. No neighbouring teeth need to be prepared, crowned or used as anchors, which keeps your remaining healthy teeth entirely intact.
